I am glad to see you here. I am Brenda, a stay-at-home mama of 4 kids who was once upon a time a Sales and Marketing Person. We live in a house parallel to a train line and our suburb is on the flight path of Sydney Airport. So, noise?…MEH.
I started my blog in May of 2009 as a way of expressing myself and as a digital diary of my children’s funny antics, “let’s colour mama crazy” tantrums and “let’s melt mama’s heart” moments. I tell my experiences as a mother in a lighthearted manner because that’s the way I like to approach life. Not too seriously. Motherhood is a tough enough gig already, so I reckon blogging about it in a humorous (I hope) way would help me cope. And sure enough, my blog has proven to be my sanity saver, my tiny piece of internet paradise, my happy place if you like.
In December of 2009, my little blog was chosen as a Blog of Note by Blogger. Blogs of Note are interesting and noteworthy Blogger-powered blogs compiled by the Blogger Team (their words not mine, by the way). I am quite proud of that achievement.
I am the Creator and Community Manager of Digital Parents. A social networking site where Australian Mum and Parent Bloggers can get together, swap ideas and share stories.
I am the founder of Blogger’s Manifesto which outlines the core values to implement Best Blogging Practices for members of the Digital Parents Community.
I am the founder and organiser of the Digital Parents Conference, a blogging conference catering to Australia’s mum, parenting and personal blogging communities.
I am the director of The Mother Media, a boutique social media consulting business specialising in the mum and parent blogging niche.
And for that, I am forever grateful. Go bloggers!
