I get a fairly good amount of PR pitches on this blog. I am thankful for that because that means, my little blog is on their radar.
But, if there is one thing that I hate about PR pitches. It is the fact that some people obviously do not do their homework before approaching me. First up, if you want to engage me then get to know me. Check out my ‘About Me’ page. Maybe even read a few of my entries first, before pulling the ‘we love your blog’ card.
Also, please try and address me by my name. A ‘Hi there’ is not gonna cut it. Okay? And please for the love of everything personal blogging, never ever send those hideously hideous form letters and those super cold generic media releases! The spray and pray approach never works. Not with me, anyway. Chances are, they will go straight to my gmail trash. Capiche? Not to mention the fact that they make me stabby. No joke.
Bottom line is, make your pitch kickass and full of the awesome! No pressure. At all.
And for the record, the benefits I received for posts, reviews, affiliate links and/or advertising whether it be cash, products and/or services are always going to be disclosed. Always.
I think that’s about it. Bear in mind that I reserve the right to change and/or add stuff to this disclosure policy.
So there.
